Yes, Hurricane...game on!
Since my last post, Puppy and Puppy 2 have been in the "body bag" TWICE!!!! Seems my little Hurricane just feels too confined in her little Pampers. Leave her for more than a few moments and you will have a naked baby.
I can not begin to explain why. It's not always. Not in certain jammies. At certain times. The girl is just keeping me on my toes.
I could only come up with one solution. A straight-jacket. No...not a real one. Although it doesn't seem like as strange an idea as it would have 2 years ago. But it does look similar. A friend gave me an idea. Cut the feet off her jammies and put them on backwards so they zip up the back. Classic, huh? I wish I would have videoed the first time we presented the idea to Sophie. She's very familiar with her jammies, she can dress herself (and obviously undress herself). So when I came at her with the little white feet bottoms missing she was instantly aware that I stepped up my game. She was AMAZED that her toes popped out of the ends! Then we put them on backwards and zipped her up....she laughed at first...then kept laying down saying "back on". Which is her way of saying something isn't right, "put them back on right."
So far, so good. A nice, only-wet-where-she-should-be, baby wakes up only in the morning....for now. Until she comes up with our next adventure in the game she calls "just wait until I'm 2!". *sigh*
So after I finish cutting feet off jammies I'm headed out to plant seeds for our garden. I figure if Hurricane is going to pick stuff up in the backyard and eat it I should plant some veggies. I'll do anything to avoid a call to the doctor having to ask if eating dog poop is toxic. :) We do seem to be turning the corner on that though. She's less likely to "learn by taste" now. And I will be one thankful mama when I only have to worry that she might accidentally STEP in poop!!!

Oh, I have LAUGHED through this entire post!! I'm still laughing aloud!!
Well Kim, your grandma D. used to say (when I ate dog poop) "well you have to eat a peck of dirt in your life". so Sophie is just doing what her Papa used to do and he's still alive. Hope she keeps you guessing and learning. You do have to learn something new every day!
Love
Dad/Papa
Please forgive me, but I keep hoping that precious child will get into mischief just so we can read your hilarious accounts of it! What a joy to share in the lives of your beautiful daughters!
