Jesus!!!!

"Say 'hey Jesus!'" That's what I tell her to say if I want to get her happy during a photo shoot. Most of the time it works. Doesn't always make her look at the camera...but happiness can not be over-rated when mommy won't put that annoying camera down!
So...here was my reward...

A little about the Pledge

Sarah and I are reading a new book together called "Everyday Graces". There is a chapter in there about America. We read America the Beautiful, ettiquette of the flag (I'm a HUGE stickler for flag ettiquette!!! I'm angry when I see a torn one. I love being at a military bases at noon when the entire place stops right where they are to pay honor to the flag/country. I could go on and on.), and lastly the Pledge of Alligence. In the book there is a pencil drawing of 3 children with their heads bowed and their hand on their hearts and Sarah asked what they were doing. "They are probably saying the pledge" I told her. "Under God?" she asked. My heart melting inside I said "something like that. do you know why they are saying the pledge?" By now, we are on 2 different trains of thought, but her answer was still profound: "probably because the country is in a lot of trouble and they need His help, and maybe they are scared too."
Profound, don't you think?
But then the almost-4 yr old in her appears..."like when you are scared?" I ask her.
"no, when I'm in trouble. but I like when I'm not".
For what it's worth...I like when she's not in trouble too. :)

Here we go again!!!!

Everyone buckle up, the roller coaster is off again!!!!
Our very early rumor for the next batch of referrals (due 1st week of August) is that early December will be included.
So what? you say???
Well, we are December 14th. Now, to me, that's before the 15th so it's early December. However, I am not the one sitting among a stack of baby and family files doing the matching....China is. And my guess is that the 14th isn't "early December". But I'll take it!!! I never thought I'd be excited for them to just get to my month!!!!!
The roller coaster part is this: I can't remember the last time the earliest rumors turned out to be true. I still doubt they'll make it through November. But I thought the least I could do is take all of you on this crazy ride with me.
