Merry Christmas (almost) everyone!!!

What a month it's been so far! We've had highs and lows. Fun visits with family and friends were the highs. Sarah has had a great month of playdates!!!! A few weeks ago we learned that China was putting new regulations in place for future adoptions (that would in NO way affect Sophie's adoption) that would essentially knock us out of going back for #3. I know, I know we don't even have Sophie yet. But I have always felt that I have 3 daughters in China...ALWAYS. I haven't always known if I would hold each of those daughters, but I knew they were in my heart. God is in control of each adoption, but I must admit I was a little crushed to learn that we might be done based on a technicality. But, as with all things China in my life, I gave it to God and said "it's up to you. If you call me, I will go." Today I've read the first sign of hope that our chances are still good to go back after Sophie. Anything can change of course. Lord knows I have no idea how Sophie will change things! But I am encouraged that God hears and can make all things possible.
Sarah is loving the idea of Christmas this year. The presents don't seem to excite her as much as I thought they would. Maybe she doesn't get that under all that paper is something for her to play with...who knows. I'm sure she'll "get it" next week.
She and I both have a cold or something...I'm hoping for the cold rather than the "something". I hate hearing her cough in her sleep! But she's a trooper. She's rarely sick (in 2 years we've only been for our well visits! knock on wood), so I'm not going to complain at all.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Future pilot

That's right. This is Sarah in the pilot's seat. She charmed her way there. She saw the pilot at the ticket counter and asked me something about him and I told her that he would probably fly our plane. She said "let me go ask him", so I said ok. She went right up to him and said "are you going to fly our plane?" and he laughed and said "yes, would you like to see the cockpit?". The rest is history. When we boarded the plane all the flight attendants and pilots were waiting for the adorable Sarah. Awwwwww. She thought meeting the "driver" was pretty cool. I thought it was pretty cool of the pilot to snap this picture for us and email it to me! So everyone...fly Southwest!!!

Where'd we go? We went to Missouri to visit Glen's family. Sarah had a blast in her first snow. I'll try to post more on that soon. For now, I'm tired...going to bed.
