Those sneaky kids.....

So it's time to put Sophie's b-day gift together. A swing set. Yeah, not exactly for Sophie per se, but there was really nothing else I could think of that she needs...what she wants is to chew on my shoes so obviously....
Knowing it would be a much bigger deal to Sarah, we all head down to the big box in the yard to see what's inside...yeah, I have video!! I'll load it tomorrow.
Anyway...Sarah is excited about the swing set to say the least. Sophie, I now know, was feeling a bit of pressure. :)
You know, we have that Friday appt. You all know how I am about milestones...apparently Sophie knows too. As Sophie and I are sitting inside getting ready for bed I decide there are no good pictures left to get and go to put the camera away. I turn around and what do I see????
Sophie WALKING to bring a shoe to me!!!! It was real walking. I'm stunned. I try to get her to do it again. No. So I put the camera away and go back and play with her. Set her up...she walks!!! Ok, this might be real... do it again...same thing...walks. Four times I do the set up and each time she walks!! So I bring Glen in...performance anxiety. oh geez!! Well, finally he does see it...a few times. So we all agree it's not a fluke or accident. To make it even cuter, this morning she brought me her Crocs and I said "thank you" and she lifted up her foot for me to put them on. I was excited she knew that shoes went on feet...who knew she was trying to tell me she'd need those for walking real soon!!?
So, Friday, she may not touch her mouth when asked "Where's your mouth?"....but she's walking!!!
That little cutie pie.

Happy birthday, Sophie!

Kim, you certainly were on my heart on Mother's Day.

Can hardly wait for more photos and videos to be posted. What a joy to "see" the girls!

Love,
Anne
