I'm uploading a few test videos now...if all goes well you can see Sophie blow out the candles on her very first piece of cake tomorrow!!!
Yes, that's right...tomorrow sweet baby Sophie will be ONE!!! Granted I missed 8 months, but even the 4 we've been with her seem to have flown by!
She's a joy 98% of the time. 1% of the time she's teething, not fun. And the other 1% she's expressing a feeling about something that she obviously feels strongly about...but doesn't feel like talking about it.
She's cruising around like nobody's business and has taken about 3 steps on her own. I wasn't in much of a hurry for her to start walking but at this point she crawls a 3 min mile so what's the difference, right?
She still really REALLY loves her ba-ba (bottle). I've been hesitant to tell her that her not-most-favorite-person (her ped) is going to suggest the insane idea of weaning the bottle. She is going to be most unhappy about it. You know, on top of all her mercury injections that day...I'm expecting the latter of those 1%'s I talked about earlier. Oh...this happens on Friday.
Sarah finished up pk4 today. Did you hear me crying?? Oh no...not from pride or the fact that she finished a school year. Crying from the pressure. Summer pressure. :) :) She does have a camp with Ballet Magnificat and swimming lessons...but the rest of the summer...oh my. And with gas prices...yikes.
But I am glad to have the rat race of getting "ready" done. And she had a great year and loved everything about it. We'll start officially homeschooling in August. And she can't wait! Every time I ask what is her favorite thing we do together it's always "when we do school". Hopefully Sophie will cooperate too.
I'll close with some pictures I was finally able to load....
Katy (the dog): "That's MY ball little girl!!"
She takes my breath away!!!
Confessions of a 2nd time mom: A lollipop didn't grace the inside of Sarah's mouth until she was 3. But when you are trying to watch said first child in the cutest school program ever...extreme measures must be taken. Sophie and her first lollipop at 11 mos old. *sigh*
