Update on call to action

The update isn't much of one...government in action ya know?
Mississippi reps haven't even responded to me. Nothing. No "sorry we don't care" or "since it's a voting year I'm on it", nothing.
Several states have replied to varying degrees (a site that puts out information is keeping track of who responds (positive or negative) and who doesn't. But it doesn't look like anything will change. At least not before we have to start forking over more money to start our renewal/new application. I'm sure fantastic legislation will pass right after our check clears. *rolleyes*
But anyway, thank you to all that have sent on our behalf!!!! It means a lot to have others helping to bring Sophie home sooner rather than later! And please, if you do hear back on your emails, let me know!!!

Not much new to report on Sophie's progress....they matched another small batch and new rumors are starting already (they usually don't start until the 20th or so). Right now it's bad news for us...an even later referral. But it's all rumors, nothing to get upset about yet. June was our 1 yr anniversary since starting our chase for Sophie. This month is 1 yr since we started our INS paperwork. Last time, we already has Sarah's picture in this length of time. That's weird.
I'm not upset, just ready to meet Sophie. Everyone that was pregnant when we started has met their baby. People that are getting pregnant now will meet their baby before we see Sophie. I WANT TO MEET MY BABY!!! :)
Besides, Sarah is already saying "Sophie did it"...poor thing doesn't understand how obviously untrue that is. :) Of course she also blames Jesus for some things...kids.

Sarah is....well, Sarah is the most beautiful, sweet, smartest little almost 3 yr old around. More specifically though, she's growing like a weed. Much to my dismay she's hit the "why?" phase. :) She FINALLY got her beloved "who-ah hoop" (hula hoop) that was her reward for traveling with no potty accidents. I helped her by completely dehydrating her before each car trip. Is that wrong???? I'M KIDDING.
She got her new Wildlife Foundation book in the mail yesterday and she was SO excited!!! She started reading it to herself, which was totally new! Not really reading, but she's familiar enough with the format that she made it up as she went. It was so cute. In hindsight, I guess I should have renewed that subscription. :)
Everyday is something new and I'm just amazed that I get to watch it. God is so very good.

Thank you, everyone, for keeping up with Sarah and Sophie. We thank God for you. Please continue to pray for Sophie, her birthparents, and the gov'ts that will tie all the threads together with His help.
