We've officially started our countdown. It started the minute Sarah found this backpack (aka packpack to Sarah's circle of friends) in Target. She lit up as soon as she saw it, and when I asked if she wanted to try it on...oh my!!!! She put it on and said "I need to walk around to see if it fits"...and hasn't taken it off since.
A week from tomorrow Sarah and I will go endure the frightfully long TSA lines at the Jackson International Airport, get on a BBBBBIIIIG pwane (read: plane), and go see NieNie (Auntie Denise). About 60 times a day I hear "can we go get on the pwane now?". Once I explained that her new backpack was to take treasures with her on the plane (read: items to help mommy stay sane) she thought for a second and went to the living room to fill the bag. I mean FILL. She could barely stand up straight! When I told her she couldn't take all those things (read: not one single thing she packed) she teared up..."but they are my treasures". Now, before you think I'm that evil, they were not her treasures...they were every and anything she could fit in there!
Late yesterday I discovered that we (read: she) might be a tad confused about where we are really going...I asked her where we'd go and all of a sudden it was "China to get Sophie". But I guess as long as we get on the big pwane, the rest will work itself out. :)
