Movie day! Movie day! Movie day!!!

It's a rainy, gloomy day...around 50 degrees...buurrrrrr. So after we finish our school work I say "Hey! Let's watch a movie and drink hot chocolate today!" Yahoo!!! The girl is soooooo game! She didn't have a single clue what "hot chocolate" was, but she's no fool...she understands "chocolate". Oh we're both soooo excited as we head off to Wal-Mart to get food and dream of the afternoon to come.
This is apparently where our ideas of the afternoon part ways. *sigh*
Mom's thoughts:
We'll have a wonderful time at Wal-Mart (it does happen) and sing songs on the way home....have a little alone time while I put groceries away...lunch...and finally get the milk warming on the stove and get ready to snuggle under my very favorite down throw. ahhhhhhh. We'll giggle and laugh at the geese (Fly Away Home was our movie of choice) and have a fine time.
Sarah's thoughts:
Wal-Mart?? I have far too much energy to do the "Wal-Mart thing" today. Oh, well, if I have to sit I'm going to at least say EVERY word that comes to my mind...I mean EVERY word. And questions????? Oh yeah, I got questions!!!! My time in this buggie is limited I must talk as fast as I can. What did she say about chocolate? I'll be sure to ask about that at least every 10 feet. I wonder what wild and crazy game we are going to play while we watch the movie??? Chocolate???? Why does mommy seemed crazed? She must want me to ask more questions. *sigh*

Oh, laugh if you must. Some days we are on the same page....then there are days like today, where we aren't even at the same library! That's ok.

What's truly amazing is what happened towards the end of the movie...keep in mind that she's wearing her brand new (less than 4 hours old) comfy sweat suit. She wants to go outside and build and paint an airplane like in the movie (yippy, at least she enjoyed the geese being born and noticed the plane).
I'm type-a. I like to eat neatly, keep things in their place (usually), and paint neatly. I prefer my 4 year old do these things too. :)
It started out ok. See exhibit B.
And then she got all type-b on me. See exhibit C.
Know what??? It was kindof fun to not care that there was paint all over her clothes. I may be around to teach her order, morals, and discipline....but she teaches me to LIVE!!!
